The I-TS-3870-ol from Gustav Klein is a single channel infeed test system designed for the testing and emulation of batteries, fuel cells, and powertrains, with an additional overload capability for enhanced performance.

It features one high performance output delivering up to 1200V and 1200A, making it suitable for demanding applications. The system offers a maximum power of 650kW in single operation, which can be expanded up to 1.3MW in parallel configurations for larger scale testing.

An integrated overload function provides additional flexibility, allowing operation up to a maximum of 500kW when required, supporting more dynamic and intensive test scenarios.

The GK i‑TS3870-ol (overload) impresses even in the standard system i-TS3870 configuration. i‑TS3870-ol is a single-channel system as standard solution with 80V, 120V, 300V, 600V, 800V, 1000V, 1200 V & 1500 V. Maximum power in single operation 650 kW, up to 2.6 MW in parallel operation.

The i‑TS3840 is commonly used by:

  • Test power supply for contactors, fuses and circuit breakers

Yes, i-TS3870-ol allows for a short-term overload at the DC output. This enables the system to operate at specific points outside the nominal range, thus fulfilling requirements in the test sequence. The DC converter's output voltage and current specifications remain unchanged. However, a maximum output load up to 50% higher is available for a maximum of 60 seconds. The subsequent regeneration time (≤ nominal load) is five times the overload duration.
