The ELZ Series is regenerative 4-Quatrant Electronic Load with an optional PHIL interface capability. Designed to simulate real world AC/DC linear or non-linear load with Regenerative capability.  

The ELZ’s single cabinet offers 30kVA, 45kVA, or 55kVA/kW and units can be paralleled up three-Phase High Power Systems  of 1.1+MW based on your requirements. 

ELZ platform is optimized for Power-Hardware-in-Loop PHIL, with three powerful DSPs for controls and measurements to cover advanced applications.

4 Quadrant Operation for Leading & Lagging Power Flows

The ELZ Series supports testing PV inverters, V2G, EV Chargers, EVSE, batteries, UPS, and AC/DC power supplies. A key advantage of the ELZ Regenerative Load is its ability to operate in all four quadrants using programmable phase shift in CC or CS modes. Compared to 2-Quadrant non-regenerative AC loads, the ELZ allows simulation of inductive and capacitive loads to fully test AC power sources, as shown in the leading and lagging power factor examples.

Most Flexible Input Configuration for AC/DC Load Simulation

Simultaneous AC and DC load operation is supported per phase (or channel), with automatic input mode switching to give test engineers maximum flexibility. Configurations include single-phase, split-phase, three-phase, and multi-channel setups, with optional isolated neutrals available for both AC and DC.

Built-in Advance Digital Scope and Measurement

Advance scope function captures voltage and current time domain signals, perfectly synchronized to the output frequency. Voltage and current displayed with accurate phase relationship. Display output waveforms on the front panel or in the Web browser.

The built-in Measurement eliminates the need for an external power analyzer by measuring voltage and current harmonics. Harmonics information is displayed in either bar charts or detailed table format for easy viewing and analysis. Data is displayed for each phase or all three phase simultaneously.

The ELZ is Regenerative 4-Quadrant AC & DC Load Simulator is designed to emulate real-world normal and abnormal load conditions for testing a wide range of AC or DC power generating or conversion equipment and is optimized for PHIL. The ELZ’s high-power provides 30kVA/ kW up to 55kVA/kW in a single cabinet and can parallel up to 550kVA/kW. Three-Phase High Power System configurations are available up to 1.155MW+

An electronic load mode is optimised for precise load emulation and dynamic current control. ELZ simulates AC and DC loads for testing PV inverters, V2G, EV Chargers, EVSE, batteries, UPS, and AC/DC power supplies. Fully operate in all four quadrants using programmable phase shift in CC or CS modes.

This allows simulation of inductive and capacitive loads to fully test AC power sources

The AZX Load mode offers following four main operating modes with both RMS and Real-time modes as well as a rich set of features in each mode.
